Horn Mountain is a large oil and associated gas field located in the northeastern corner of the Mississippi Canyon protraction area. Horn Mountain has been developed using a truss-type spar. First production was achieved in November 2002. Freeport-McMoRan completed a two well infill drilling programme in 2016, improving reserve recovery. Anadarko began operating the field in December 2016 after purchasing Freeport-McMoRan's deepwater GoM assets for a total cash consideration of US$2 ...
