The Shushufindi Aguarico fields were discovered by Texaco in 1969 and came onstream in 1972. In 2012 Consorcio Shushufindi S.A. a Schlumberger led joint venture with Tecpetrol and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) signed an incremental production contract with Petroamazonas.The Consorcio Shushufindi partners receive a service tariff on incremental production above a base curve. Petroamazonas pays 100% of the operating costs while the consortium pays 100% of the field's capital costs. As ...
