South Sudan crude exports declined in 2024 due to a rupture in a major export pipeline in Sudan. South Sudan relies entirely on Sudan to export its oil via the Great Nile Pipeline Project (North). In February 2024, exports of Dar Blend crude, which Melut Basin Oil Project (MBOP) crude trades as, ceased due to a rupture on the Bapco export pipeline and only resumed in February 2025.
