South Sumatra PSC contains several mature onshore oil and gas fields in the South Sumatra Province. The block is contiguous with the gas producing Corridor and Lematang PSCs, and the oil producing Rimau PSC - all currently operated by Medco Energi. Sales gas production started in the late 1970s with the development of the Teras, Rambutan, and Ibul fields. The Jene, Lagan, and Gunung Kembang fields were brought onstream in 1987-1990. Other fields including Soka, Pian, Fariz, and SE Lagan were brought onstream in 2000-2010. Sales gas is primarily supplied to power generation and fertiliser companies in the southern Sumatra region.
