Surgutneftegas (SNG) operates the Talakan Fields in Sakha Yakutiya in East Siberia. The asset includes the core Talakanskoye field and several satellite deposits. Oil production from Talakan fields is more than 170 000 b/d. The fields were some of the first to be developed in East Siberia.Talakanskoye lies adjacent to the giant Chayandinskoye field.
