Talos announced the acquisition of private equity backed EnVen Energy for a consideration of US$1.1 billion. The consideration includes EnVen's net debt of US$50 million. Talos will finance the deal through cash and issuing additional equity. The deal will consolidate Talos and EnVen's Gulf of Mexico focused assets. Post transaction, Talos and EnVen investors will hold 66% and 34% respectively, in the combined entity.
