Report summaryThe Albert-Edward Rift Basin, which forms part of the East African Rift System, is located in the northwest of Uganda and extends into the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since 2006, nearly 1.5 billion barrels of commercial liquids have been discovered in Tertiary-aged reservoirs on the Ugandan side of the basin.
