Umm al-Qaiwain (UAQ) is an offshore gas field located around 40 kilometres northeast of Dubai, in around 30 metres of water. The field lies on trend with the Zora gas field, 10 kilometres to the west. The field has now ceased production, and the Plug and Abandonment program has just been completed.The UAQ field was discovered in the 1970s but remained stranded for many years.
