Weser Ems covers the northwestern area of the German state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen). It borders the Netherlands in the northwest the North Sea in the north and is enclosed between the rivers Weser and Ems. It is primarily a gas producing region. Its top producing fields are all operated by ExxonMobil.There are more than 50 producing fields in Weser Ems. Most are mature fields producing small volumes.
