Akif is a director on our corporate research team. He is primarily responsible for covering the leading European utilities, where his focus is on strategy, peer benchmarking and valuation analysis of their global power and renewables businesses for our clients.
Akif was previously a key member of Wood Mackenzie’s team that designed, built, and delivered the inaugural corporate upstream carbon emissions product and data tool, where he also led the work on value at risk analysis. He has been at Wood Mackenzie since 2015, initially on our Gas and LNG research team, where his focus was on European markets.
In the past, Akif was an equity analyst at Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America) and an investment manager at Low Carbon Investors Limited. He has also worked for the United Nations' Principles for Responsible Investment, where he focused on integrating environmental, social and governance factors into equity investment decision-making.
