We use Lens Power to assess the feasibility of this ambitious target

1 minute read

The US Department of Energy recently released a report showing almost half of the country’s electricity could come from solar by 2050. Using  Wood Mackenzie's Lens Power platform, we assess the feasibility of this ambitious target by:

  • Exploring the US generation mix today
  • Discovering Wood Mackenzie’s current outlook out to 2050
  • Seeing how much capacity will be added each year
  • Examining LCOE over time
