Southern Energy Holdings Group (hereinafter referred to as Southern Energy) is a private sector coal company listed in Hong Kong exchange. It produces anthracite in Guizhou province. Southern Energy owns and operates four mines. It claims its Tiziyan coal mine was still under development at the end of 2018. However, it is registered as operating with China’s National Energy Administration. We expect Southern Energy to produce 1.2 Mt of marketable coal in 2021, at an average total cash cost of RMB339.7/t.
