SUEK is the largest coal producer and exporter in Russia operating a total of 27 mines located across central and eastern Russia. SUEK operations are primarily thermal coal mines with a small amount of export semi-soft coking coal produced. The company also has two greenfield coking coal projects, Apsatskoye and Kabaktinskoye, both undergoing exploration with trial production at Apsatskoye in the past.
