It is the listed arm of Liaoning Energy Industry Holding Group, which is run by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Liaoning province. Liaoning Energy operates in both Liaoning and Inner Mongolia. It produces both thermal and metallurgical coal.
