Wambo North coal mine
Report summary
Wambo North is an underground mine in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. Wambo North was operated in conjunction the Wambo surface mine and now in conjunction with the United Wambo mine (covered in a separate analyses). The mine is owned and operated by Peabody. The Wambo complex is located 15 kilometres west of Singleton, near the village of Warkworth. Wambo North produces thermal coal for export and a high volatile PCI for the domestic market.
