Commodity Market Report
Argentina gas industry overview 2018
Report summary
Knowledge of the new regulations for gas-pricing subsidies for producers and consumers, the upcoming transport tariff updates and the seasonality of the gas market is key to understanding Argentina's gas market. The current Macri administration is issuing new gas subsidies for the Austral region while capping the amount for Vaca Muerta projects under development. At the same time, distributed gas and transport tariffs are increasing to reflect the cost of O&M assets and new expansions. We have designed this report as a useful tool for historical and current analysis of Argentina's upstream sector, unconventional gas investments, gas market structure pricing regimes, LNG and pipeline infrastructure, and export/import contracts supported by a comprehensive Excel data pack.
