Prompt and spot Henry Hub gas prices remain low, and with no help from the remainder of winter, they may continue lower, despite some constructive market fundamentals. US gas production is still declining, and LNG feed gas levels are increasing, but weather-related heating demand losses are hard to make up for, and there’s bearish sentiment out there on overall commodity markets as participants contemplate the potential effect of the ongoing coronavirus and potential underutilization of US LNG with summer global oversupply.
