Despite the startup of the much-anticipated Matterhorn pipeline, Waha spot gas prices are again struggling with negativity. With seasonally weak local demand, too much supply persists in the basin amidst pipeline outages. November prompt Waha prices have also slumped with impending maintenance at both Gulf Coast Express and Permian Highway pipelines. Not surprisingly, yet another regional compression enhancement project was announced last week to provide 570 mmcfd of additional takeaway capacity to meet growing Permian production in mid-2026. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • How much is supply ramping up? • Why are LNG feedgas requirements falling? • Where will storage be entering November?
