Report summary
Azerbaijan, Iran and the Kurdistan region of Iraq (KRI) have significant gas resources providing an option of alternative gas supplies into Europe. The Southern Gas Corridor value chain is designed to supply gas from Azerbaijani Shah Deniz field into Turkey and southern Europe via the Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans Adriatic (TAP) pipelines. In the long term, Azerbaijani gas will be supplemented by gas supply from Iran and the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
