Does Europe need more regas capacity?
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
For many years European regasification (regas) capacity has been a drain on the balance sheets of Europe's biggest gas players - as indicated by OMV's recent Euro 300m writedown of its capacity at GATE. But this is about to change as a rebalancing global LNG market and consequent tripling of European LNG imports, will increase the value of holding regas capacity, particularly in NW continental Europe where most LNG trade will be focused.
