Report summary
TTF rallies to record highs as the market weighs the risk to Russian gas supply The TTF April contract rallied to over $50/mmbtu on Wednesday, 2 March, amid a myriad of factors stemming from the conflict in Ukraine. Other commodities rallied as well with coal prices rallying to over $450 on the April contract and Brent to over $110. The TTF rally prices in the rumors circling Nord Stream 2 (more on page 2) and the potential consequences of sanctions put on Russia last week. The move up in coal brings the coal-to-gas switching floor to $38/mmbtu at the front of the curve.
