Commodity Market Report
LNG short-term outlook: April 2023
Report summary
Global gas prices slightly decreased in April as the restocking season started slowly in an unusually well-stocked global market. European TTF prices trade in the middle of the coal-to-gas switching range, incentivising switching at mid-efficiency coal and gas plants. Recent indicators in China (incl. LNG trucking volumes and some economic indices) have picked up, but the pace of recovery is still uncertain. South Asian countries continued some opportunistic tendering, although activity has been softer than in March.
