The Panigaglia terminal is operated by GNL Italia, a 100% owned subsidiary of Snam Rete Gas. It was built in 1969 and was closed for upgrades between 1995 and 1997.The terminal is the first LNG regasification facility built in Italy.In October 2009, the facility carried out an extended period of maintenance, reducing the effective capacity of the terminal by 0.8 bcm (0.6 mmtpa) until 2011.The terminal occupies an area of 45,000 square metres and consists of two holding tanks of 50,000 cubic ...
