Report summary
Blagodatnoye deposit is 25km north of Olimpiada and benefits from significant infrastructure, facilities and management synergies. The mine is a conventional open pit operation utilising excavator and truck mining methods. The processing plant (Mill No. 4) is the largest in Russia. In 2019, Polyus completed the mill expansion to 9Mt/a, which also included the upgrade and reconfiguration of the blasting, crushing circuit, grinding circuit, gravity circuit and flotation circuit. The mill consists of a conventional gravity concentration, flotation and carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuit.
