Asset Report
Bolivia small zinc mines
Report summary
Bolivian small mines is the combined production from numerous small mines and co-operatives. In 2020, production from Bolivian small mines was significantly less than prevoius years due to Covid. The high price environment in 2022 meant that most small mines and mills recovered to normal levels. We define the small mines as those with production of less than 10kt/a zinc in concentrate and are mainly comprised by the cooperative mines. In most cases the small miners sell the ore to traders or small concentrator plants around Bolivia. Then the Pb and Zn concentrates are shipped through the Antofagasta port in Chile.
