Bombore is one of the largest undeveloped gold deposits in West Africa. It is located in the Ganzourgou Province, Burkina Faso, approximately 85km east of the capital city of Ouagadougou. Access to the property is provided by the N4 national highway. The deposit will be mined using conventional open pit mining methods, sourcing both oxide and sulphide material from over 60 separate proposed pits with varying dimensions. The project is expected to be developed in two distinct phases. Phase 1 will include the exploitation of free-dig oxide ore, that will not require drilling or blasting, which will be processed through a 5.2Mt/a oxide plant, that will be reduced to 3Mt/a following the commissioning of the sulphide circuit. Phase 2 will consist of a 2.2Mt/a sulphide circuit, that will be comprised of crushing, grinding, a leaching circuit with a pre-oxygenation tank, prior to the partially leached slurry being blended with the oxide feed to the CIL circuit.
