Report summary
The smelter is located near the city of Rancagua, Chile. The capacity of the smelter is 1.4Mt conc/a (435kt/a copper). The capacity of each Teniente Converter is 2600 t/d concentrate by increasing oxygen enrichment, in stack time and using ultra-dense phase injection systems. The sulphur capture levels are around 94% and the smelter is preparing to improve its process to meet the new requirements of 95% capture.
