Caylloma zinc mine
Report summary
The Caylloma deposit is located approximately 225km northwest of Arequipa, Peru. Mining is predominantly carried out by mechanised cut-and-fill operations, following this the ore is trucked to a conventional crushing, milling and a 1.5kt/d ore flotation plant consisting of zinc, and lead-silver flotation circuits. The zinc concentrate is trucked to storage facilities in Matarani, Arequipa located around 225km from the mine and the lead concentrate is exported through the Callao Port located 1,460 km from the mine.
