Report summary

Cerro Casale is a gold copper deposit located in Chile. The project considers the development of an operation to produce a copper concentrate with gold credits dore and copper sulphide through a Sulphidization acidification recycling and thickening (SART) circuit. In March 2017 Kinross announced the sale of its 25% interest in Cerro Casale to Goldcorp. Concurrently Barrick also announced the sale of a 25% stake in the project to Goldcorp resulting in a 50:50 joint venture (JV) between both companies.
