Cerro Casale is a gold-copper deposit located in Chile. The project considers the development of an operation to produce a copper concentrate with gold credits, dore, and copper sulphide through a Sulphidization, acidification, recycling and thickening (SART) circuit. In March 2017, Kinross announced the sale of its 25% interest in Cerro Casale to Goldcorp. Concurrently, Barrick also announced the sale of a 25% stake in the project to Goldcorp, resulting in a 50:50 joint venture (JV) between both companies.
