Cinovec - Lithium mine project
Report summary
Operated by Geomet s.r.o, Cinovec is a lithium mineral project located in Ústecký, Czech Republic. Cinovec, which continues into neighbouring Germany as the Zinnwald deposit, was mined from the 1940s until 1993 as a government-run underground tin and tungsten operation. An updated pre-feasibility study from 2019 supports the development of an underground mine and a processing plant to produce approximately 25.3ktpy of battery grade lithium hydroxide from lepidolite mica. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
