Debari zinc smelter
Report summary
The Debari smelter was commissioned in 1968 and had a capacity of 18kt/a zinc to treat concentrates from the Zawar group of mines. Installing a new Lurgi roaster and acid plant in 1976 in order to be able to treat concentrate from Rajpura-Dariba increased capacity, and expansion of the tankhouse in the late 1970s, brought it to 45kt/a.
