Duddar zinc mine
Report summary
Duddar zinc mine is located 135km North-North-West of Karachi in Pakistan. It is a mine project jointly developed by Metallurgical Construction Group(MCC) and Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation(PDMC). Underground mining is carried out mainly using sublevel open stoping method, while differential flotation system is used to produced lead and zinc concentrate. The concentrates are targeted to be processed at Hunan Zhuzhou smelter in China. The ultimate depth of the underground mine was expected to be around 900m underground.
