Report summary
Emirates Global Aluminium formed following the merger of Dubal of Dubai and Mubadala of Abu Dhabi in April 2014. The merger created one of the largest primary aluminium producers in the world with one of the largest exposures to the third party market for alumina. The commissioning of EGA's greenfield alumina refinery in Abu Dhabi reduced EGA's alumina short position. The company also has interest in a bauxite mine and a greenfield refinery project in Guinea.
