GEM Jingmen Cobalt Refinery

Operated by Jingmen GEM, the Jingmen cobalt refining plant is located in Jingmen city in Hubei province, China. The plant is a 100%-owned subsidiary of GEM. The plant has a capacity of 4.0 ktpa cobalt sulphate and 3.7 ktpa cobalt tetroxide (contained cobalt) as of 2021. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs.
