Report summary
Handan Iron and Steel is a Hebei Iron and Steel (HBIS) Group subsidiary located in Handan city, Hebei province. The plant produces high-quality flat steel for automotive, home appliance and line pipe sectors. Its high yield strength X100 grade HRC has been used in the Third West-East Gas Pipeline project. Besides flats, Handan also produces bars, rebars and wire rods and these long products account for about 14% of its total product portfolio. More than 70% of sinter feed is imported from Australia and Brazil.
