Iscaycruz (Closed) zinc mine
Report summary
Up to 2013 Iscaycruz was operating an underground mine and a 4.2kt/d ore concentrator. In 2014 the Santa Este open pit was opened. The Zn concentrate is pumped via a pipeline to a filter plant located in Churin, from Churin the concentrate is trucked to the Callao Port. The Pb concentrate is trucked directly from the mine to the Callao Port in Lima. In October 2015 Glencore announced the temporarily suspension of operations at Iscaycruz and other mine operations. Glencore shut down operations by November 2015 and the mine remained under care and maintenance until 2019.
