Report summary
Kibali is comprised of the Karagba-Chauffeur-Durba (KCD) open-pit and the KCD underground mining operation, along with the other main deposits Pakaka, Kombokolo, Pamao, Sessenge and Mengu Hill. Mining was completed at the Mofu open pit in 2015, the Mengu Hill pit and the Rhino open pit in 2016. The mine life of the deposits varies considerably with some having a mine life of less than two years. The concentrator is comprised of twin-circuit oxide and sulphide process routes, with a carbon in leach circuit and gravity recovery.
