King of the Hills gold mine project
Report summary
The King of the Hills (KOTH) standalone operation is planned to be a bulk mining open pit and underground operation with additional mill feed being sourced from three open pit satellite deposits (Rainbow, Cerebus-Eclipse, and Centauri). The Final Feasibility Study for the project released in September 2020 underpinned a 16-year mine life to recover 2.35 Moz of gold at an average AISC of A1,415/oz from 2022. The study also approved a 4 Mtpa processing plant, which will also be able to process the KOTH underground ore that is currently being treated at Red 5's Darlot plant. The plant can be expanded to 6 Mtpa in future. Commercial production was declared in December 2022.
