Mako Gold Mine
Report summary
Mako, located in Senegal, is a conventional drill and blast, truck and shovel open-pit gold mine, with mining services provided by mining contractor African Mining Services SARL. The processing plant ha s a capacity of 2.3Mt/a and is comprised of single-stage crushing, an 8.5MW SAG mill and pebble crusher, a gravity circuit, a carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuit, an elution circuit, electrowinning and smelting to produce a gold doré. First gold pour was achieved in January 2018. In July 2019, Resolute Mining acquired Toro Gold and with it their flagship Mako asset for $274 million.
