This asset analysis covers Philex's Padcal Cu-Au operations located in the Benguet province on the island of Luzon, Philippines. The mine is an underground block caving operation that produces a copper-gold concentrate. The rugged terrain has historically proven to be a problem for tailings disposal and regular typhoons and seismic activity have also resulted in disruptions to production in the past.
