Report summary
The underground South Division (Malmberget) mine is located in the Swedish province of Lapland, it is wholly owned by the Swedish state owned mining firm, LKAB. It produces 8 Mtpa of iron ore pellets. LKAB has had to implement an "urban transformation plan" to relocate the local community as part of continuing operations at Malmberget.
