Triple 7 is an underground Cu-Zn mine in Canada, located immediately adjacent to Hudbay's mill and zinc pressure leach plant in Flin Flon, Manitoba. The Flin Flon mill produced a copper concentrate and a zinc concentrate, both with gold and silver by-products. After 18 years of production, the final reserves of the Triple mine were depleted, and the mine was closed in June, with the Flin Flon mill placed on care and maintenance. The company is advancing metallurgical test work to re-treat 100Mt tailings which were deposited over 90 years of mining in the area.
