Tight gas potential in Jordan is focused in and around the Risha conventional gas field. Risha is a north-south trending anticline with an area of around 1,500 square kilometres and was discovered in 1986. Over 40 wells have been drilled since the field's discovery, but only a handful have been deemed commercial.
