2016 Oman licensing round launch
Report summary
Oman is offering four blocks under its 2016 licensing round, the first round to be held since 2014. The blocks include acreage recently relinquished as part of changes to company strategy and unsuccessful exploration results. The Ministry of Oil and Gas (MOG) will be hoping for renewed appetite in the blocks which opportunities in Oman's tight gas play alongside more frontier oil exploration, both on and offshore.
