Report summary

In 2011 a CNPC led JV was awarded the Kashkari Bazarkhami and Zamarudsay exploration and production blocks in northern Afghanistan. They contain five oil fields that were discovered in the Amu Darya Basin between 1959 and 1978 but never developed except for very minor production in the 2000s.
