The Mangara, Badila and Krim oil fields are located in the Doba Basin, southern Chad. Mangara was discovered in 1978 by Conoco. ExxonMobil discovered Badila in 2002.In 2011, Canadian E&P player, Griffiths Energy International signed a production sharing contract (PSC) for blocks DOB and DOI which included Mangara and Badila.
