Report summary
Block 15-1/5 is located in the shallow waters of the Cuu Long basin and covers an area of nearly 3,000 km2. The block contains four oil fields, Lac Da Vang, Lac Da Nau, Lac Da Trang and Lac Da Hong. Lac Da Vang development was sanctioned in 2023 and will be the first field in the block to start production in 2026. The operator, Murphy, recently discovered the Lac Da Hong field in 2025.
