Calliope (MC 609)
Report summary
Calliope is a small oil and gas discovery located in the eastern half of Mississippi Canyon protraction area in central Gulf of Mexico. The field was discovered by LLOG in December 2016. An exploration well was spud in September 2016 in 2,075 metres (6,808 ft) of water using the Seadrill West Neptune drillship. The well reached TD in October 2016, where it encountered an undisclosed quantity of oil in the pay zone. The field lies 20 kilometres (12 miles) southeast of the Na Kika FPS.
