Centrica and Statdtwerke Muenchen (SWM)-owned Spirit Energy has sold its Norwegian business to HitecVision-backed Sval Energi for US$1.026 billion. The vast majority of value is associated with the Kvitebjørn, Maria, Nova, Ivar Aasen and Oda fields. Upside will come in the form of further recovery at the producing assets and development of sub-commercial discoveries such as Lille Prinsen and Bergknapp. Further delays and poor early production performance at Nova – now due onstream in Q3 2022 – offers downside risk.
