Cimarex Energy is an independent exploration and production company with operations in the Mid-Continent and Permian regions. The company started out as a minor player in the Permian, but the acquisition of Magnum Hunter gave Cimarex a strong, diverse portfolio of unconventional oil and gas assets in the region. Cimarex also completed Resolute Energy acquisition in 2018.
